A Two-Part Elopement Adventure: From Palm Springs Elegance to Joshua Tree Wilderness

Beth and Ethan’s desert elopement was the perfect blend of elegance and adventure, spanning two iconic locations: Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. Their day began at the Villa Royale, where we captured timeless portraits in lush gardens and mid-century modern neighborhoods. Even under the intense 100-degree heat, Beth and Ethan radiated joy, running through streets framed by palm trees and mountains. After cooling off with espresso martinis and wedding cake at the Ace Hotel, we were ready for part two of their journey.

MOMENTS CAPTURED

MEMORIES MADE

A Sunset Ceremony Amid Joshua Trees

Their intimate ceremony took place at Quail Springs in Joshua Tree National Park, where Beth made her grand entrance in a wedding dress for a sweet first look with Ethan. As the sun set behind towering Joshua trees, their officiant guided them through heartfelt vows filled with laughter and tears. Beth’s frequent dives into Ethan’s front pocket for his handkerchief added a personal touch to the emotion-filled moments. After their first kiss as a married couple, we had the freedom to explore the park, capturing candid moments during the magical blue hour.

An Elopement for the Cool and Adventurous

Beth and Ethan’s non-traditional wedding was all about creating memories that felt true to them—without the pressure of traditional wedding norms. From champagne-popping celebrations in the Joshua Tree desert to a playful stop at the local saloon, their day was a reflection of fun, spontaneity, and romance. The couple wanted their wedding photos to show friends and family how amazing their elopement adventure was—and, in Beth’s words, to “convince our friends we’re way cooler than we actually are.” Mission accomplished!
